But I must say I pushed through it and had an excellent workout! I think I may actually be totally back on track. I might just have to take that before and after pic.
All In A Days Work!
Sometimes we all need a place to vent this is where I go to do that!

What was I Thinking?!?
Today I decided to join a workout class at the YMCA while my husband completed his stregnth test for Activetrax. When we got there Body Pump was about to start so I joined in. My heart was all in; but, my body on the other hand was not having it. While all my clasmates looked like this...
I stuck out like a sore thumb in the middle of the pack looking like this...
Just Got Back From Arlington
We went to Arlington this weekend and took the kids to Six Flags. Although it was extra hot and the sun felt like it was trying to cook me, we had a great time. With all the walking and sweating that I did I decided to say that I exercised while on my mini vacay.

I Cheated Myself
I did not do any type of exercise yesterday and I sort of feel like I cheated myself.
Thank goodness I have a personal training session this evening!

"Where They Do That At?!?!"
Yesterday my child decided that he was going to give me a spanking.
After I asked him to stop jumping on the couch because he could fall and hit his head he responded with, "No!". I then picked him up, took him off the couch, and placed him on the floor. I guess he didn't like that because he hit me! Then I hit his hands... Then he hit me... Then I hit him... Then he... I guess you can see where this is going.
I finally came to my senses and sent him upstairs to his room. When he got upstairs he laid on the floor and cried. I went to check on him and he said, "You are mean to me! You can't spanky (that is how he says it) me!". So I left him there because he obviously hadn't learned! This crying went on and on until I just turned up the TV and started exercising. When he finally figured out that I wasn't coming back up for him he came down, went straight to his daddy, and fell asleep on the couch next to him.
He will learn! You do not spank your parents if you can't get your way. That isn't practiced in any sane house that I know of and it will never be a practice here!

Fairly Smooth Waters
So... We made it through the movie fairly unscathed.
Riley did great compared to what my husband and I were expecting. He sat in his seat, ate his popcorn, and even laughed at the jokes. We thought we were going to make it out of there scot-free until Riley decide that he had seen enough and it was time to go home. About an hour and fifteen minutes into the movie Riley looks at me and says, "It's time to go to the car!". I then told him that the movie wasn't over yet and we should stay until the end. He tells me OK, but that he wants daddy now and goes on over to him. But, he doesn't stop at daddy's seat he keeps walking and tries to go down the steps. My hubby grabs his arm asks him where he is going and Riley responds straight faced, "I am going to the car!" He was dead set on getting to the car.
I was not about to leave this movie when there was only about 15 minutes left. There was no way that I would claim defeat when we had made it that far. So I pulled out my bag of tricks/purse/mom-bag and started filling Riley up on fruit snacks. I figured as long as I kept the fruit snacks coming he wouldn't worry about leaving. To my amazement that beautifully simple plan worked. We were able to see a whole movie and not many people were disturbed in the process.
Next time we will have to try a slightly longer movie and a bag full of tricks/treats. Thank goodness for mom-bags!

Testing the Waters
Today we are going to venture out to the movies with our two year old. The last time we did this our son tried to run up and down the aisles and greet every person that walked through the doors. Despite constantly telling him that he needs to sit down and nobody wants to talk to him at the movies he continued to do so. So After 30 minutes of this my husband took our son, walked out of the theater and never returned. When the movie was over and I went to the car (that my husband had been impatiently waiting in) with our other two kids, my husband made a new movie rule: "Riley is not allowed to attend any outing that requires sitting in front of a movie screen!". Translation: "I will never take Riley's bad ass to a movie again!!!!!".
It has been over a year and I am finally starting to chip away at my husband's cold hard stance. There have been so many great movies that we have missed and had to wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray and DVD. I think my husband is getting a little tired of missing out on a real movie experience.
We are going to start off small and go see Madagascar 3. We figured an hour and a half cartoon would kind of ease Riley into it. Hopefully this works! I am tired of missing so many movies!
I am ready to take these baby steps... Hopefully Riley is too!

Feeling Energized
My husband woke me up this morning and made me exercise. It took me a little while to process what was going on, but I was eventually able to get up, get dressed and get a nice workout. We did the heavy bag, some ab work, took a nice two mile walk , and I even did some stretching. It really felt good to get up and get my blood pumping.
Although I haven't really gotten to the point that I feel like I am missing out when I skip a workout, I don't think I am too far off. I felt so energized this morning that I even suggested that we get up early every morning and do something to start the day.
Now if I can just get this eating healthier thing down I may just have a chance.

Hanging in There!
I started my day off totally wrong.
I ate french toast sticks and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit from Carl's Jr. After that I caught up on my DVR list while I fold some clothes. I would say that the folding could be considered light housework therefore I can count it as exercise; but, I completed that while sitting on the couch. There was no leg work in that what so ever. I was so pitiful with it that I actually got my daughter to put some of the clothes up for me. The rest of them are still sitting in neatly stacked folded piles waiting to be placed where they belong.
During lunch I was so bloated from the junk that I ate in the morning that I sat around drinking water while I watched more television. I only got up to feed the kids and check the mail. Thankfully my boys wanted to hang out because I don't know if I would have even been able to function outdoors. There was no crossing the threshold to the backyard today.
By the evening my stomach was so messed up from the junk, that I fed it back to the porcelain god, brushed my teeth again and fell asleep while my husband took care of the kids. When I woke up the kids had decided that they wanted Mickey D's so I convinced my husband that he should get me some french fries. I felt a little guilty after that so I decided to get on the recumbent bike.
I rode that bike for 45 minutes at an easy pace and completed a 10.9 mile session. I sweat so much that I think my body was trying to get rid of all the extra sodium that I decided to eat today.
So as you can see the only thing that I did good for my body today was drink water and ride the recumbent bike. There is no way that I will ever get back in shape like this. I really need to devise a plan and stick to it.
Well... Here's to tomorrow. Maybe it will be a more productive day for me!

I Did Something... Just Not Everything!
Well... I did try. I got up got dressed and put in Just Dance. To my dismay it was Just Dance 2 not 3 the one that I really enjoy. So after I did one of the routines on that disc and talked about how it didn't look the same, I realized that I was doing the wrong one. I proceeded to get the other disc and I started over. My husband even joined in. We did the sweat challenge and I really did sweat. After 38 minutes of that I moved on to a little ab work instead of The Micheal Jackson Experience. Then I mozied on over to the jump rope not the heavy bag. Then I finished up with a nice seat on the couch not on my Recumbent bike. So I didn't do exactly what I set out to do... But I did do something! GOOD FOR ME!
Now it's time to take a shower and go to bed!
