What A Weekend!
While we were there this weekend we bought wooden swords for the kids, KK got to do archery and rock climbing and she also got a Henna Tattoo of a dragon fly. The kids rode a few of the rides and we had a lot of good food. We did more sightseeing this trip up but we will relax and watch shows next time. My sis-in-law said that she wants to come with us next time we go so that's gonna be lots of fun. We took one of the maps with the schedule of shows home so I think I am going to look through it and highlight everything that sounds interesting and try to see all of them!
We got home pretty late on Saturday and we were exhausted. We all went straight to sleep -- no baths or showers! We got up on Sunday and decided it was time to do some cleaning. While my husband and I were in the kitchen we got a phone call and our daughter answered it. Unfortunately she thought it was a wrong number because she couldn't understand what the person was saying. Fortunately they called back and we found out that they were calling about the car. After we spoke to the people about the car our daughter explained that when she answered the phone the person on the other end was speaking spanish and she told them that they had the wrong number. She told us that the man started saying, "No! No wrong number!" and she told him, "Yes wrong number!" and hung up on him. We actually got two phone calls about the car on Sunday and one person came by to see it! I am going to put the add back in the paper next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and see if we get anymore calls.
Well that was my weekend. Hope you had as much fun as I did!

It's Been Almost Four Years!
Every year I say that I am going to "Get back in shape!", but, this year I have actually been exercising. I haven't quite gotten the "eating healthy" part down yet but maybe I'll get around to it. My husband and I have made a "Biggest Loser Couples" type of bet with my sister and her husband and we plan on winning. I think that it is a little sad that it took puttting money on the table to take weight loss seriously. Honestly even with the money I haven't been serious enough. Without my husband I would still be the food whore that I am sitting back popping aything labled extra sugar extra fat!
I was on a roll for a while and I was faithfully exercising and trying to eat more leafy greens; but, Valentine's rolled around and I became the Candy Snatcher. I was actually trying to hide candy from the kids. I even went through my daughter's bag from school and took out anything that even resembled chocolate. I actually ganed four of the six pounds that I loss and went on an exercise sabatical. So on Friday my husband dragged me out of the house and we bought another workout video. I just knew that it would become our newest coaster but we actually got up Saturday morning before the kids and did the workout. I felt so good that I decided that we should go to the park and play softball or fly kites too. Saturday was an all around great day for us. I felt so good about Saturday that on Sunday I got up turned on the music and started cleaning the house while my husband followed suit. He actually did Zumba with me that night and it was pretty fun!
Which brings me to today. I realize that I am like a child that needs constant monitoring when it comes to this exercise thing. If nobody is around to make sure that I am doing it or to tell me that exercising is actually a good thing I tend to keep putting it off. I need to try to make this thing a routine or I will never really get into it.
So my project for the next few weeks is to try and make this a habit and after that maybe I'll try to tackle this eating healthy concept. Anyway, I'm off to try and do this dumbell workout that my husband left out for me to do. Wish me luck!

What Were You for Halloween?

Now that I have kids I am all for the dress up portion even if we don't go out. My daughter was a Pirate and my son was a cute little monkey. The baby didn't get out for Halloween but my husband and daughter had fun! They carved the pumpkin (which I showed in a previous post) and cruised the neighborhood for candy. We took lots of pictures before they started their Halloween venture so feel free to check them out in my pictures section. If you click the Flickr link it will take you to the rest of my pictures. There is a Halloween 2007 set to the right side of the page.
Oh yeah I haven't told you guys my story about our short Phoenix trip yet so I will be back to elaborate!

It All Seems Like A Blur
Since Kailyn did well on her report card we decided to get her a fish tank. She had been asking for it since the beginning of the year and we told her that she could get a tank if she did well in school. Her grades were great so we went and got a tank and prepared it for fish. The next day we bought five neon tetras and watched them as we integrated them into the tank. The first one died within 15 minutes. The next one died sometime during the weekend while we were in Phoenix and the third one died today while my daughter was watching them swim. So now we are down to three noen tetras and a Beta fish that my husband bought on the way home from work. We are currently taking bets on the life span of the last two neon tetras. I think the Beta will catch them sometime tonight.
I really just had to get on to share this short thought. I will have to come back later tonight to tell everyone about my weekend trip. Let's just say this story is pretty interesting.
I'll be back!!!!!!!

The Garden of Eatin'
Yesterday I went to "The Garden of Eatin" with my daughter and her classmates for their fieldtrip and those are the pumpkins that some of the kids picked from the pumpkin patch. My daughter's pumpkin is the one in front. During this field trip they got to pet goats, feed pigs, have story time, go to a pumpkin class, and end it off with a trip through a maze. She had a great time and is ready to carve her pumpkin. So I have to enlist the help of my husband to do that because I refuse to scrape the insides of that thing. The insides of a pumpkin feels like rotten sludge, or what my daughter calls "icky goo". So we will make that a daddy - daughter project. While my daughter and I were at the field trip my husband and my sister-in-law were on their way to the airport to pick up their parents. They made sure to take a detour and buy keychains with their names on it but they finally got back on track and made it to the airport. When they got back we all ate dinner and played with the "main event" of the trip -- Baby Lou! My daughter kept talking about what her brother can do and how he likes to play. So we all had fun playing with the baby.
Today we all decided to just sit back and relax. Well, all accept my father-in-law. When he got up this morning he decided to fix an outlet, fix our icemaker on our refrigerator, and re-arrange our garage. I kept telling him that he needed to just sit back and relax but he insisted that he needed something to do. After getting a few things out of the garage my husband and my father-in-law decided to go bowling. I was just glad that my husband got him out of the house. I really didn't want him to get bored and feel all cooped up. When my mom and dad came out here my husband and dad got out of the house a few times. So I just want to make sure that they get out too. The rest of the day was pretty laid back. My mother-in-law, my daughter, and I went to the grocery and when we got back she cooked some good porkchops. She put soo many different seaonings that I really didn't know how it was going to come out. Needless to say they were great. Whenever my mom or my mother-in-law comes to visit I make sure they cook a few meals for me. Even though I can cook now there ain't nothing like a home cooked mother's meal. So now I am sitting here full and I feel "The Itis" kicking in and we all know what that means. Well, maybe not all of us. Anyway, I am getting off of this computer and going cure "The Itis".
So, I Missed A Day
Yesterday I got on the computer logged in and then I got sidetracked. I kept thinking I need to get on the computer but I just never came back. When I got up this morning I noticed that my blog was still up and I just said, "Oh well I can write double today". I refuse to start all over because I did think about writing. Since I did think about it I am going to count that as "Day Five". So I will be back later to tell everybody about the day that I had yesterday and what I did today.
