The Countdown Is On!!!!!

It's official my sister-in-law is definitely coming!!!!!

I am so excited! And no I am not just saying this because she might read my site (which she does), but I really like my in-laws. I have been blessed to have such loving people placed in my life.

Anyway, she commented on one of my posts and said that they are definitely coming. First of all I was happy to see that somebody other than my faithful reader, Jaws, commented, then I was excited about the good news. So now my countdown is officially on. I don't know exactly when they will get out here because they are going back "home" to visit family first.

Oh yeah, I never went on that link rampage but as you can see I did make use of a link in this post. Talk to you later!!!!!

I Feel like a Dumby!!!!!!

My husband showed me how to insert a link. And then when we came to the site to practice inserting links he looked and said, "Look you can use this right here." I never even noticed the button to insert links. So I think I am about to go on a link rampage. So excuse me for a little while until I get bored with links!

Oh My God!!!!

Why do people let this show make fools of them. This girl just came on American Idol and butchered the National Anthem. She knows they showed her as one of the horrible singers. One of the humorous parts of the earlier shows. So why on earth would she agree to get up there and sing. I am actually upset that she did that.

Oh yeah, now that I am further into this show and I am listening to this sucky duet with Bo and Carrie. I really don't care who the hell wins.

Alrighty then. I might be back.

Why is Burt Reynolds Boss Hog????

I am sitting here watching American Idol and I see a commercial for The Dukes of hazard. They go through the cast and I see that they picked Burt Reynolds as Boss Hog. Who on earth made that choice. Anybody that has ever watched even one episode of The Dukes of Hazard would know that he is not the person to play that part. What happened to Danny DeVito???? He would have been perfect. In my eyes he would have been the perfect Boss Hog!!!!

Well, let me go. I am gonna go finish watching American Idol. I actually hope Bo wins!!!!!!!

IS THIS FOR REAL??????????????

While looking through a site that I try to visit as often as possible (Jaws Was a Lady) I stumbled upon something pretty enteresting. Apparently a blooger can be complimented by The Complimenting Commenter or they can be bless'd or burn'd by Blogg'd. I don't think I am ready for either one (I might actually get burn'd) I am still taking baby steps with my blog. I still have a lot to learn.

just in case you are interested in reading what they have to say about others (and each other) this is where you should go:

It's been a few days

Well I did it again. I have neglected my post. For the past few days I really haven't been up to much. So I really have no excuse for leaving you guys hanging. I did start looking for a job. So wish me luck.

Well, let's see...
"The Child" is still home. This is her last week of school before the summer starts so we decided to let her stay since she is still taking the amoxicillin for her ear infection. I think she would rather be at school sick and taking the medicine. She has found something to complain about almost everyday since she has been home from school. This morning she insists that eating the baked chicken that we had for dinner last night would also be good for breakfast. I keep telling her that if she wants it for lunch that is ok but not for breakfast. I then gave her the choices for breakfast while she looks at me as if she is the boss and I should do what she tells me. Finally she tells me that she should eat some oatmeal because she remembers that her maw maw fixed it for her one day. Oh, O.K. I guess I have never fixed you oatmeal or anything else for breakfast. Well I fixed the oatmeal. Looks like she is enjoying it.

I am starting something new. I am going to sell Avon. The district manager came by yesterday to tell me more about the products and to give me the materials that I would need to start. I doubt if I am going to be like a lot of these ladies making a living from this. This would probably just be a little extra money for me, until I get a job. The area that I live in isn't that big. So I have to find some diehard Avon customers. I hope this works.

I guess I'll talk to you later. It's about that time for "The Child" to learn something. She still has to keep the brain working even though she is home from school. She can't watch SpongeBob and Dora all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Been A Long Time........

But I'm Back!!!!!!!

Hello all! I am finally home and settled from my vacation. I wanted to write while I was gone but I never really got a chance to. So here I am to update you on my "happenings".

When we got there it was so nice to see our family. Since "The Husband" and I are from the same place it is so much easier to go and visit our family. Anyway, "The child" was so excited that I think she forgot that we were her parents. The only time she was with us was if her "maw maws" or her "paw paws" were gone somewhere. But I guess that extra time was good for us. "The Husband" got to see some of his old friends from out there and actually went out with them. Big surprise! (That was not sarcasm. He really doesn't go out as much as the typical male his age.) All I did was relax and spend time with family. I only got to see one of my good friends from there. She cooked for us one night and it was just really good to see her. The few other people that I know from there have moved away. There is one other person that I would like to have got in touch with; but, I haven't seen or heard from here in so long that I wouldn't know how to get in touch with her.

While we were out there "The Husband" and I went to a wedding. One of his friends got married. The wedding was beautiful!! Since I didn't know anybody there I would wind up standing in the corner by myself while "The Husband" went off to talk to somebody that he knew. I would just stand there and hope that he didn't take that long. We eventually left and to be honest with you I was relieved. I felt really out of place and I got tired of standing in the corner by myself.

That little vacation was needed. I felt very refreshed by the time we got back home. The road trip was long but well worth it. When we got back I slept for a long time. Unfortunately "The Child" got sick somewhere between our last day out there and the trip home. When we got back I had to take her to the doctor to find out what exactly was wrong with her. Well, I found out that she had another ear infection (both ears), her throat was infected, and she had pink eye. I figured that she might have pink eye but I really did not expect the other two. Needless to say I could not take her back to school so she is sitting home with me.

Well, it is time for me to go. "The Child" is up and she is HUNGRY! Talk to you later.

What I Meant To Say Was...

Friday when I talked about neglecting my blog I told you guys that I would definitely write more tomorrow. What I meant to say was I'll talk to you on Monday. I'm taking the weekend off!

Since "The Husband" was home we just sat back and relaxed. We watched a few movies and just enjoyed our family time. Whenever we are all together my daughter says, "This is family. I love family!" I think it's the cutest thing.

Today will be a little different for me. I let "The Child" stay home from school because we are leaving to go back "home" on Wednesday. (I'm still trying to get used to another state. I always find myself calling New Orleans "home") She insists on helping. She wants to make sure that she has everything she needs to see her "Grandmas and Grandpas"! (This is plural Mom! Not possession of!)

I pulled out the suitcases the other day but I did not start packing. I guess "The Child" thought that I was taking too long because I found the suitcases in her room filled with toys, movies, and books. I looked at her and said, "What is this?" She then tells me, "Everything I need to go see everybody." So now I'm thinking where are your clothes child? Don't you need clothes? What about a toothbrush at least? So now I am putting the finishing touches on the two suitcases. I gave "The Child" her own small bag to pack "everything that she needs".

I guess I need to go tie up the few loose ends then just sit back relax and enjoy the quiet time.

I Have neglected My Blog Today

I just sat down to watch "The Husband" Play Snake Eater on PS2 and I realized that I have neglected my blog.

So let's see. What have I been up to today? I spent the day with my husband and I had a Dr.'s appointment. I have been extra lazy today. Nothing spectacular or even funny happened to me today. I went to Wal-Mart and got our greedy pet some more food and after that I went to the grocery store to get something to cook for dinner.

I guess that's about it folks. Gotta go.

I'll definitely write more tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I Think It's Funny

I just got off the phone with my sister and I am glad she called because she really cheered me up. She called to tell me about one of her finals for school. She thought that she did really bad on this test but she actually pulled a B which she is really proud of. Guess what? I am proud of her too.

Now let me tell you what I thought was funny. After my sister found out she passed the test I guess she went to talk to her teacher who's an Arab. She goes to him and says, "Buhtta your test was a fool!" He then looks at her like she has lost her mind and says, "My test was a fool??????" I can just imagine what he looked like. So after that she says, "Yeah, it was crazy!" He gives her the look again and says, "My test was crazy?" then she says, "Nevermind, Buhtta." (That last part may be an improvisation.) I was cracking up while she was saying all of this. I thought it was hilarious. You probably would have had to hear it for yourself to think it was as funny as I thought it was.

Well, now I am in a better mood!

THANKS SIS'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please Don't Talk To Me

For some strange reason I am in a real crappy mood today. I just don't feel like being bothered. I called my mom this morning to talk to her because whenever I start feeling like this I call her to talk. Most of the times she makes me feel better. She wasn't in her office so I just left a message. So here I am typing away.

"The Child" just left for school she was in a real good mood. She loves school and enjoys learning new things. (Doesn't that sound like an advertisement.) Anyway, back to me. "The Husband" comes back home today. I can't wait to see him because honestly I really miss him. I talked to him for a little while yesterday but he was kind of busy and had a lot of work to do so he had to go. The way I'm talking you would think he's been gone for a long time; but, actually it hasn't been that long it just feels like it has.

Oh well, let me get off this computer and go wash some dishes. I'll come back later to let you know how the rest of my day has goes.

I Can't Believe I Just Did That!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think my brain is still trying to wake up. Apparently it wasn't fully awoke just now when I locked myself out the house.

I was going outside to put "The Child" in my friend's car, she takes the kids to school in the morning, and I turned around to close the front door. WHY? WHY? WHY? Our door has the lock that from the inside it is unlocked and the outside it is locked. I guess when I opened the door without the key my brain did not register that it was still locked from the outside. No alarms went off to warn me not to close the door, No intuition popped in saying , "Don't close the door!" Nothing. Nothing at all! As soon as I closed the door I guess the noise it made woke the brain up because I realized what I just did. I started to kick the door and just bang on it as if by some miracle someone would open it. So now I am standing outside with a dingy red tank top, bright red sleep shorts, my husband's black tube socks, brown leather flip flops, and half combed hair. Yes, it was a sight to see. So now I go to put "The Child" in my friend's car and buckle her up and try to figure out how I am going to get back inside. Since my husband is gone to the field I have this house locked up like Fort Knox. Nothing gets in and nothing gets out! So you know I was really panicking. All windows are locked and all the doors are locked what on earth am I going to do. I look like a "tack", I mean really really tacky. I can't go anywhere looking like this. Which means it would be really hard for me to drag myself out to get an MP (Military Police) or anybody else to help me get back in this house. They probably would not have let me in anyway because I don't even look like I belong on anybody's military installation. Well, I finally remember that I went outside this morning to feed the dog and I didn't lock the sliding door when I came back in. So now I have to walk to the back of the house -- when I really wanted to run and hide -- to go through the back door. I know every car that passed was trying to find out what was wrong with me and why on earth I look like this. I live on the corner of two major streets on this post so at any given time there are cars on the street. Anyway, I finally get in the house and sit and think about what just happened. I can tell you one thing. From now on I will get fully dressed and at least put a ponytail in my hair before I even attempt to walk out my door.

Well, now I have some work to do. I will write some more later. Bye!

Another Day. More Work To Do!

The Family and I are going on a trip.

One of my husband's friends is getting married and we are going back "Home" for the wedding. I am glad that I washed all those clothes yesterday because now I can pack and just sit back and relax for the next few days. So I guess today will be filled with hunting (for suitcases), searching (for clothes), and gathering (them all together). What fun!

I Am Doing What?

Apparently my four year old thinks that I am terrorizing her.

My mom wanted to talk to "The Child" today but she did not feel like talking so my mom told me to tell her that she must not like her. Mom wanted to see if that would make her get on the phone. Well it didn't. "The Child" said, "Stop it! You guys are terrorizing me!" I just had to laugh after I heard that it was really funny to me. That child knows how to keep a smile on my face. I can't wait to tell "The Husband" this one.

Change of Plans

I decided to wash clothes instead of doing Billy's Bootcamp. Oh well, maybe next time. To be honest with you I actually got a lot more done than I thought I would. I probably would not have done anything if I did the workout video. So I am happy that I did push that idea out of my head.

"The Husband" got to come home today for a little while from the field. I was happy to see him and since I decided to clean instead of exercise he came home to a nice clean comfortable house.

Okay, off to do more cleaning!

Off To School You Go!

Ok, "The Child" is gone. Now what?

I can catch up on some homework, do some reading, wash some clothes, looks like the possibilities are endless. I think I'll try Billy's Boot Camp Workout this morning. My Sister-in-Law talks about it a lot and seems to be getting some serious results. The last time I pulled out the DVD's my muscles were really punishing me the next day. I don't think they appreciated the extra exercise.

So let's just see. I really don't have much endurance when it comes to continuing a workout plan so I really need to dig up some energy and perserverance. Hopefully I will continue this so that when my Sister-in-Law gets out here I won't look like an idiot trying to keep up. I guess it's time to go build up that stamina.

I'll be back...

Am I Talking To Myself?

Is it really possible to repeat the same thing 50 times? Well I am on the way to finding out. I have told my daughter at least 20 times to sit her little butt down and eat. I guess she figures that I will forget what I said as soon as I finish the sentence; or, maybe she thinks that I won't get too upset since she did get four shots today. She makes it a point to remind me whenever it looks like I might start screaming. Today she told me, "Well mom I am only a child you can't get too upset." WHAT? How old are you again? Are you sure that you are a child? You sure don't act like one. Well maybe this running around will wear her down because I need some mommy time. I just want to sit back and relax!

Was it Really That Bad?

"The Child" had to get four shots today. That was real fun!

On Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. there is a walk-in immunization clinic at the doctor's office. So I decided that I should get a head start and try to get there early so that I could see the doctor first. Let me just run this process down for you. First of all I am a military wife so things run a little different for me when it comes to medical check-ups. Before I can even walk into the doctor's office I have to get any medical records that are needed. So, when I get there I stand in the line to get "The Child's" records. After about 15 minutes of standing in this line I finally get my turn. Well guess what? No records. "I am very sorry ma'am but we can not seem to locate your daughter's file. This may take a little while so could you please stand over there while we try to find them." So one of the people at the desk goes to the back while the others stay up front to help more people. So now the clock is ticking and the extra time I thought I had is dwindling down. Finally, one of the geniuses that work at the desk calls me over and tells me that they are going to make a temporary file for me so that "The Child" can get her shots. Thank God I had a copy of her shot records because we would have been SOL. So now I am walking towards the doctor's office and when I open the door I swear I see a sea of people. I guess they all had the same idea that I had, to get there early to get seen first. Lucky for them they had locatable medical files. Anyway, I wait for about half an hour before the nurse finally calls us. At fist I think that everything is going to go smoothly. "The Child" sits on the seat and tells me that she is fine, she is a big girl, and that she can do it. When the nurse turns around she has four needles in her hand. "The Child" then looks at me as if the world is coming to an end. She then starts to scream as if she is being murdered. She does this for the rest of the time that we are in the room. Needless to say I had to carry her out of the doctor's office because she was "too weak to walk". I guess I am in for it tonight. Let's see what else the little "Drama Princess" can say or do!

Oh My God! Not the Shots!!!!!

Today I have to go take my daughter to get her shots (4-6 year vaccinations). I have been spelling it when I talk to people to tell them where we are going. I told my sister, "We have to go and get some S-H-O-T-S." The child looked at me and said, "Am I going to the doctor Mommy?" So I told her yes. Wrong answer! She proceeds to scream, "I don't like shots. I don't want to go the doctor!" How on earth did she know I was spelling shots? I guess I have underestimated her intelligence. Anyway, I have to get going because it's about that time to drag the child out the house kicking and screaming so that she can get her S-H-O-T-S. I'll have to let you know how it went.

Just Starting Something New!

This is all so new to me. I always read people's blogs; but, I never really thought about doing one for myself. I hope this is as much fun as I think it will be. So, I guess I will be taking you on a journey through my daily life.
